2 Months later...post 2

As you notice, ahem boyfriend, (my lone reader-1 man wolf pack) I am a procrastinator and forgetful.  I planned blog posts, but never got around to them.  The holiday season was a little bit more than hectic.  I didn't have to work today so I thought it would be the perfect time to post.  Today I am getting ready to leave for Saint Louis.  I am attending the St. Louis Green Confluence.  I am hoping to be able to connect with employers and make some great contacts.  I am very excited for the 2 day event.
The holidays were too much fun.  Boyfriend and I exchanged gifts early and he more than spoiled me.

I just had to share a picture of it.  I am in love.  This was the first year we exchanged gifts and it was so fun.  I also got some great gifts from family and friends.  I hope they enjoyed the gifts they got in return, I had such a great time shopping for everyone special in my life.
For New Years BF and I spent the long weekend at his place.  We  went shopping, did some serious lounging, watched Black Swan (so good!), and ate some awesome food.  It was nice to have a relaxing New Years weekend and not worry about where to go and what to wear.  I got to spend some a lot of quality time with a great guy.  Who couldn't ask for more?
I started working out 2 days a week with my best friend (we share the same name, which can be more than confusing).  We love Zumba and being able to catch up.  It's so nice to be able to see her at least twice a week.  I feel so spoiled getting to see her so much lately.  While away at school the past 4 years we only got to spend limited time together.  KMM is a married woman raising a son with her high school sweetheart all while going to school for her BSN.  This is why I feel like I'm spoiled, she is a busy lady!
The past few weekends I've been able to go out with my 2 besties, KMM & JLW.  We finally exchanged gifts over the weekend.  I love spending time with them and especially love being in the same town as these 2 lovely ladies again.
After the Green Confluence I'll be off to Carbondale to take part in Polar Bear.  It will be my first Polar Bear and SIUC experience so I'm very much looking forward to a fun weekend with friends.  The BF's best friend (JS) and my first childhood friend (NW) are roomies at SIUC.  These 2 cousins are so fun and so much trouble.  It should make for an interesting and entertaining weekend.
It is also JLW's birthday weekend--I'm hoping she'll be able to make it down to play with us at Polar Bear.  She is joining the old people club this weekend.  21+2 just doesn't sound as great as 21+1.  Ohwell, at least we still feel young.  We proved that over the weekend by spending some time hopping from one establishment to the next until closing time and not making it home until -gasp- after 3.  Well I'm off, I have a list of things to get done before I head over to STL.

First Post

I've been considering starting a blog for quite some time now.  I seem to have a lot of time, being a recent college graduate, jobless for months and only recently being hired for a part-time temporary position.  My get away from applying to jobs and facing the harsh reality that this economy plain sucks has been reading blogs.  I find them fascinating.  I love getting peaks into other peoples lives and see what they do, what they enjoy, and how different and/or similar someone else across the country is from me.
Here's a list of things I enjoy that should give you insight into who I am.
Shopping-especially for things I can't afford and do not need.  My favorites: Banana Republic, J.Crew, Lilly Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines, Ann Taylor Loft, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Sperrys, Joe's Jeans, Anthropologie, and Nordstrom.  I feel like I'm forgetting some and I'm sure I am.  I love fashion and find it to be an outlet.  Finding cute boutiques is my absolute favorite.
Reading.  I love reading online articles, books, magazines, and newspapers.  I find being informed on various subjects necessary.  I'm currently reading Off The Grid
Sports-NCAA basketball is my absolute favorite and I believe it makes the winter months bearable.  I played basketball my entire life and I think it helped make me a better person.
Traveling-warm, beachy places are a favorite.  Michigan will forever hold a special place in my heart.  Some of my fondest childhood memories are Michigan family vacations with my father's family.
Food.  Going out to eat is a favorite past time.  Eating a great meal with people you love warms my heart.  It makes me happy thinking about it.
My family and friends are excellent and make my life exciting.  I have a rather large family and I enjoy that.  There is true love and respect for one another in my family and I cherish that so much.  I have had the same group of friends my entire life.  I consider myself very fortunate to not have had to move away from friends, aside from university.  We've had some fun additions to our group and those additions made our group bond stronger.  My sorority sisters are great as well.
Renewable Energy.  I graduated with a degree in renewable energy with an emphasis in economics and public policy.  I loved my major.  I found it so insightful and exciting.  It makes me excited for my future career and our nation.
My boyfriend.  He's great.  Our 3 year relationship has been full of fun.  I got to spend the most exciting and trying years of my life with him in it.  I'm a very lucky girl.
